As you are aware, in our response to the pandemic and the closure of our business on Friday the 13th of March, all customer memberships were temporarily frozen.
With the recent Government announcement of its Recovery and Resilience Plan 2020-2021: Plan for living with COVID-19, we are now faced with these restrictions lasting indefinitely.
In light of this, we wish to inform our members that all memberships will be reactivated from Monday the
5th October 2020.
Your membership will be extended by the number of weeks that you had paid for and did not receive on your membership.
For those who had a membership that should have been active from 13/03/2020 to date but it has been on hold, you will receive a 30-week extension to your membership. The extension will be different for everyone depending on the duration of membership you had purchased.
The impact COVID-19 has had on your current membership will be reviewed and taken into consideration for your next membership renewal.
All direct debit memberships will be restarted from November. From Monday 5th October is been given as credit to direct debit members as you would have paid for and not received the remainder of March.
We must continue to operate under the current Government guidelines. For all the information on how the centre is operating please CLICK HERE or take a look at our walk though video further down in this email.

Update for our kids swim lessons - we had a plan in place for our lessons to restart but with the last announcement from the government, we had to start over again as we had to reduce the group numbers from 8 to 6 swimmers.
Our aim is to get these lessons back as soon as we can while ensuring all Covid-19 measures are in place to keep everyone safe. All going well, our plan is to restart lessons in October. There may be changes to swim times but we will be in touch with you all as soon as we can to confirm these changes with you.
We have restarted our evening Teen Style, Lane Training and Adult Swim lessons as the attendance numbers were lower for these groups which made their reintroduction easier to plan. We also did this to allow us to get to grips with the Covid-19 measures in place for these lessons so that our staff has experience with them before reintroducing the kids swim lessons where participation numbers are much higher.
We would like to thank you all for being so understanding as we have worked through the pandemic and continue to work and getting lessons back.
If you have any questions please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org
From this week, following governments' advice on face masks, we request that facemasks be worn at certain times as outlined in this image. YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO WEAR A FACEMASK WHILE EXERCISING. We ask that everyone works with us on this as we all need to do our best to prevent a second wave. Thank you
Before we reopened, staff completed the Covid-19 Response Manager/Lead Worker Representative Training (Leisure Industry) course where we will always have a certified staff member and Covid-19 Lead Worker on every shift.
We would just like to say thank you to everyone who has been in the centre, communicating by email and phone and on our social media pages, everyone has been so supportive and it means so much.
From the parents explaining to their little kids why they can't touch anything and the little kids who are being so good and not touching anything (that must be so hard for them!), to our gym users of all ages wiping down their machines and equipment each time they are used, our swimmers for adapting to the new set up, everyone trying to set up booking online (bare with us on this call if you need help), local businesses who helped us to get set up and going at short notice, our staff who have put in so much work to get the centre ready, just thank you.
Opening back up and the easing of restrictions has been a nervous time for us all but it has been very clear to us at Coral Leisure Wicklow from what we have seen since reopening, that the people of Wicklow are looking out for each other with everyone doing their best and working together to keep this virus at bay.
So again, thank you to everyone 🙌
We hope you have been keeping safe and well. We are delighted to be sending you this update to inform you of our provisional re-opening date and the options available to you as a valued member of our centre. We are aiming to have the centre reopened from Monday, 6th July.
The reopening period from the 6th of July will be a temporary new way of operating to ensure that the restrictions put in place by the government for our industry are adhered to until they can be eased hopefully in the near future.
The gym and pool will be available for use with new social distancing measures in place. Until a review of restrictions has been announced by an Taoiseach, the following facilities and services will remain closed/unavailable for now – sauna, steamroom, showers, drinking fountains, summer camps, swimming lessons, group bookings, 1:1 lessons, 1:1 gym assessments.
For swimming, the recommendation is that a “beach style” changing system is in place during this phase. We have created a new changing system with additional changing spaces in our viewing area and some on poolside. You will be allocated a changing area upon your arrival. We ask that you shower before arriving at the centre and arrive in your swim attire as you would if heading to the beach. All swims must be booked in advance. We advise that all valuables be left at home where possible.
For the gym, we ask that you arrive in your training gear and again that valuables be left at home where possible. All gym visits must be booked in advance.
We will provide a much more in-depth explanation of the new temporary operating procedures over the next few days.
As the services available to you as a member will be reduced during this phase, we have put 3 options in place for you to choose from. When you have read through these options you can email email@example.com or call the centre at 0404 66831 to confirm which option you would like to go with for now.
We are very aware that many of our members might still be very anxious about returning to the centre and that others may be eager to return. We hope that we are providing an option that will suit all and if not, please contact us by phone or email if you would like to discuss your concerns or require further explanation.
Please see the following options available
to our members below -
We are delighted to announce that the centre will reopen from Monday 6th July 2020.
We would like to thank everyone for being so understanding and patient as we prepared the centre to reopen. Tomorrow, 30th June, we will post further updates which will include our new timetable, explain our booking system and all new social distancing measures that will be in place.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.
